T.G.I.F NOT

i really think my bed is too big. So much that i tend to roll around too violently at night. and my right arm is aching like mad since morning.

what the hell.

apart from the constant dry eyes-syndrome i have ever since the lasik surgery, i'm having problems waking up in the morning cus there's simply nothing much worth looking forward to on a working day.

Today, my annoyingly smiley-yellow alarm clock went off at 7.40am. that dumb tune is still ringing in my ear....to think i actually found it cheery before i bought it months ago. Now i feel like smashing it badly. But i ended up hugging it in bed the next 20mins, contemplating to fake an excuse for a day off. Money is more important.

So i stood up beside my bed, only to find muffy lying on his back, in his comfy little sissy-bed, like a human sprawled with arms and legs wide open. for a moment, i wanted to trade my day for his.

I noticed my blue socks lying on the floor, one far apart from the other.

Then i remembered.

OH.

I fell last night.

i was heading for the toilet in the middle of the night, wearing my socks. I must be so zonked out i slipped and fell on my right side. Right, that explains the pain. So i took off that damned pair of socks in a fit and threw them on the ground. and went back to sleep thinking it was just a dream.

and then the rolling around the bed started....

and so explains the pain in the morning. and MY SHITTY HELL OF A FRIDAY!

on a seperate note, though:

HAPPY GRADUATION DAY to GLYNIS!!!!

My MUST-HAVE product at the moment.
Yes, i'm swearing by this for the past weeks to consume all the damning lil breakouts on my face.
I found this new & improved version in watsons during lunch time just now.
It doubles the sucking power?? i don't know. lol. i'm not gonna care how it does what it does. I'm only interested in the outcome.

My new found friend
Enclosed with our monthly paycheck, are also incessant backaches and shoulder stiffness.
Oh, let's not start with the blisters from heels.

luckily, they come in adorable pinks.
What an awesome way to make us feel less auntified.
..even if it's topical it's still better then being rubbed by grostique men-masseuse.

Guess what i found in Singapore??!!

a VERY pleasant surprise at Railway Mall's Ah mei Cafe!

They actually adopt the 'vibrating buzzer' system JUST LIKE KOREA.

My first attempt to bake a cake for someone.

Lemme tell you, it's so simple to make a cake.
Just use a cake mix, ready-made icing, tubed color decoration gels and party sprinkles!!!!

i think it also tastes effortlessly gross

@ Oosh, Dempsey celebrating JM Cher's Birthday.
Me with the mosaic-ed birthday girl. LOL.

***
I was watching 超级星光大道 5 yesterday night. I have a favourite. He looks so acutely adorable and harmless that i so wana pinch his cheeks. LOL. He has this super charming face when he sings. Anyways, yesterday was one of those occasions i teared while watching someone sing. Maybe cus the song was too damn sad, and he was too damn charming.
<3>

NEVER be too close

Some people... i can never get close to.

You will know it when you see one. even much as you wana try, find things in common, make effort for conversation....whatever shit, it just doesn't work. cus this person is plain questionable. then you start to have reservations.

So, i am proposing i should just leave it as that. status quo. I do not wish to be taken as an overzealous bitch or whatever. FYI, i don't enjoy being one.

And even as i'm opting to be neutral, I WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE RESERVATIONS.

You know, i hate it when people hide things from me. Like they don't think i should know for whatever fuck of a reason when i've been involved ALL THESE WHILE. I also kinda fucking hate the fact that people find that they CANNOT tell me things, OR i eventually get to find out things i'm supposed to know from someone else. Why? i don't have the capacity to understand and empathize is it??? Am i too spoilt to understand you because i live in a big house and have my own car??????? that's plain bullshit. i may not be the best at defending gossips, or whatsover but i do exercise discretion.

FINALLY, IF I EVER FIND OUT ANYONE SAYS ONE THING TO ME AND ANOTHER TO SOMEONE ELSE. YOU CAN FUCKING FORGET ABOUT ME TRUSTING YOU EVER AGAIN AS A PERSON BECAUSE YOU'RE JUST NOT WORTH IT.

THE BEST PART IS I'LL MAKE SURE YOU NEVER KNOW.

let's play your favourite game. This is hypocrisy for you.

but I don't think.

By the way...

Thanks for the responses on the dresses. According to my cousin, ION Orchard has a huge BEBE outlet that's openning soon. I shall wait and see :)

I recently discovered a very annoying thing about myself.

I tend to not complete my sentence when i speak. And after paying attention to this problem, i realised it's cus my string of thoughts get cut-off halfway while talking. EEEW. either that or i talk faster than i think OR i don't feel the need to. haha.

Please KILL your assumption that i don't THINK before i speak ok... it's absolutely NOT TRUE. Just that these days i tend to respond abit too quickly....like right after i concieve a thought but it's not a very well developed one. LOL.

Lemme give you an example:

fefe asked me a question about something in the care once (i can't remember what). So immediately after she commented i said "but i don't think" and ended right there. so she waited for awhile until i showed no signs of further comment, LAUGHED OUT LOUD and repeated "hahahaha.... i don't think HAHAHAHA". So i laughed too cus i realised i didn't complete my sentence assuming she got what i meant.

it's kinda embarassing cus it's quite common with me these days. i don't know WHY but i think i'll try to give a lenghtier thought about what i'm gonna say in future before blurting out incomplete sentences. it's just plain funny.

Neat, huh? My desk.

Uh, it's not too early cus i need to check if they carry any of the below in Sg stores? If not i'll have to order online...
OR
I might need to alter if the fit is not right.
Whichever it is...
can you do me a big favour by helping me pick out the winning dress, which you think suits me most...? i need opinions!!! :) tag/call/sms/email/msn me!

I was on the road to work today when i met this major dick-head P-plate driver. It's not that i don't give chances or i've never been on probation myself.... but he nearly caused an ACCIDENT?! apparently he left his brains at home or something when he cut right out from the filter lane onto the main road i was driving on. WTF?! I swerve out to the right to avoid him and THANK GOODNESS there weren't any cars on the right. I took a glance at his sorry face and he seemed relatively unaware of what just happened. and he looked like a BOY undergoing puberty.
!
!
!
!
!

FUCK YOU AMATEUR SHIT!

you drive like a wussy. how's that?! i hope that just hurt you under-developed ego.

i could've been hospitalised if not for ur hell of a kopi-license.

On a more composed note...

i'm beginning to stick post-its everywhere in office to remind myself not to touch my face with my germified hands. GERMS ARE EVERYWHERE you know??? and they cause zits!!!!

and i read somewhere that for acne-prone skin like mine, we should opt for facial products that consist of ingredients like Salicylic Acid and Benzoyl Peroxide. OR you can just affectionately refer as Acne-terminoxide. LOL.

I think i'm gonna just set aside my whitening regime and stick to AC-stermination for the time being. It's annoying me like there's no tomorrow. especially when i'm havinf PMS. the breakouts seem to double-up. YIKES.

SO i was saying i've read that besides keeping your hands off your face, you should also prevent sleeping sideways (where your face comes into contact with pillows or whatsover). i'm beginning to suspect if it's my thousand-year-old lil pillow's fault. see, i have to sniff it before i fall aslp at night (i will excuse your disgusted expression)... so i'm trying to substitute it with a new pillow i bought from IKEA yesterday. i hope it works...but i'll still keep my lil pillow with me...just minus the sniffing part. I'm sentimental, so DON'T JUDGE!

Oh! and one more tip - Use a non-oil based moisturizer!! Oily skin needs to be moisterized too... much as laymen don't believe it. there are dry-but-oily skin types... very common in SG. something like mine.

Also,
you might want to meet DOONG DOONG, my gundu-looking monkey.

ummmm, lemme see what else....

Oh yar, i do not wish to elaborate on the "i saw him" issue cus i already told some of you over the phone or msn. and dwelling on it here is gonna send me spiralling into an emo-fit again so... i hope for the last time, that i will truly get over it already...though i'm still quite confused.

Mega-sigh

Brands go BIG

in HongKONG

If you're big on BRANDS, then you'll probably appreciate the feast of visual flamboyance on Canton Rd in Kowloon.
staying in a hotel right above this sinful thread isn't exactly a perfect idea though.

but lucky for me, i don't have a deep pocket. thank god.
Yes, even a mere look at the flagship stores is gonna send you flying. whether or not you can afford is another story lah.

This is DISNEY LAND for women.

They just have a way with making their stores look like an exquisite eyesore.

my ALL-TIME fave to date:
CHANEL
that's my mom...drawn-in in agreement. :)
She bought herself a classic (which i picked out) for her birthday gift.

..and this, should be my ultimate goal

more on my HK 2009 trip in upcoming posts :)

My 2 cents worth on a working reality

One can never fully comprehend the nits & grits of an adult working world. Like a grandmother's story told over again, you can never find one without politics, power struggle, or unfairness.

We know life is never fair, so here we are, slogging our youths away for something we don't really believe in - a better future.... with your shitty coy.

what happends when your supposed 'future' is in the hands of people who are either noobs, aka, people who cannot recognise your efforts, or snobs ( people who simply choose to overlook your adequacies )? Then you are suay.

See, lives all about moving on. SO you move on, like our nomadic ancestors do... leave the shit hole and move on. BUT again, curse the innovation of intellects for a wonderful piece of paper known as a "contract" or some fondly remember it as a "BOND". This bomb, scuse' me, BOND we're talking about here is like a leash holding you back from wanting to pee in front of your nemesis' yard (if you were a dog that is).

So here you go again, living day to day a mundane cycle....socializing with people, with utter reluctance and ingenuity. You are TIRED. And because you are no saint nor one with sky-high emotional quotion, you decide to hell with everything - which very much translates to a work ettiquet equivalent of a 3 year old.

For positive people on the other camp, the glass is always half-filled, never empty.

Somehow, they pretty much worship the idea of sucking-up to save their arses. Not a bad intention but a pretty questionable choice. Have you got no integrity? Oh wait, you don't care about integrity because it can't buy you Coach purses or LV bags. More often than not, people capable of doing this will most probably be in denial as well... well then, good for them. at least they don't see how ugly they are to others.

The rest, are just technically smarter because like most of us know it - Ignorance is Bliss....

Not exactly. Ignorance is stupidity.... a Real intellect is also (never coincidently) - a HYPOCRIT.

.....and it's not necessarily a bad thing
May i also add one more point: Lousy Bosses are stingy (not always monetarily). They are stingy with genuine praises and gratitude - something which hardworking employees should never be deprived of.
Of cus, bosses generous with praises ain't the world if they're merely entertaining you. If you're really worth it, why don't note it in the appraisal? a simple gesture to let their staff know it's all worth it at the end of the day.
Sometimes, people are just not that magnanimous or interested in presumably "insignificant" people in their lives. On their quest forward, it's only natural to trample weaker links. that's how society works. It's scary but so very true.
you might want to digest this.

Happy Birthday, mommy dearest!

Weekends can be soooooooooo.....much better

After blog-surfing / magazine-browsing for several hours in the office this morning,

SO, the point of this entry is: i've decided i shouldn't just let my youth deteriorate with a lifestyle transition. no. i SHALL NOT.

Haaa, not that my lifestyle just underwent some major transformation...besides having to literally prick my eyes open at 8 every morning, i shouldn't be wasting my after-work hours and weekends.

Okay, maybe a lil correction on the after-work hours part cus i really rather prefer to sprawl on my lazy sofa and watch 2pm entertain me silly on youtube. They're my new fave idol-boys now, f.y.i. and i'm not too old for that OKAY! (whatever happened to TVXQ?? *shrugs* contact me when they do return to korea for good)

The plan is... i'm gonna start planning my weekends so i get to 'bond' with my friends and enjoy myself more. Sounds vague but HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA, i can forsee how this will work - a MAJOR FAILURE... since Geminis are known for their unpredictable moods and ever-changing interests. oh well....

HOW DARE YOU AGREE TO THAT, FRIEND?! c'mon, show some love and encouragement man! @#$%^

To prove how well this will actually work, TADA!!! lemme Impress you with the itinery i have for this very weekend!!!!

Friday Night: Probably Mani +Pedi (Necessity)
Saturday: BBQ with all my NUS Nais & Hu Lao ye n Co @ my place. (mj on the menu too)
Sunday (MAJOR): PACK FOR HONG KONG GET-AWAY WITH MUM (and family friend aunty plus her lil daughter) FROM MONDAY to THURSDAY.

ARE YOU AWE-STRUCK or ARE YOU AWE-STRUCK??!!!

yes, i'm flying off to MDX-CDX (mai dong xi/chi dong xi)-haven on Monday morning.
*SMILES SO WIDE YOU CAN HARDLY SEE MY EYES*

WHAT A MAJOR ATAS PLAN RIGHT...
Well Um, i figured some of you might badger me to help you buy stuff.

here is the Mega-BUT part:

1) I predict less shopping. even if i do, i'd be busy shopping for FEFE & MYSELF
2) We're going to Disneyland. (self-explanatory)
3) The last but most important point of all - I DON'T have extra funds to pay for your stuff first.

yup. i hate to rob that twinkle in your eye but i've had my fair share of frustrating experiences of not being able to get the list of 'you assume to be easy to find' items in a foreign land. feel me on that please.

BUT, yet another but...i love buts.....

i do entertain special requests, with $$$ enclosed. DOn't ask me which part of HK i'll be going though, cus i'll just be wherever the wind blows.... in other words, we don't have a fixed itinery, YET.

SO yeah....

Here's a Cheer to a kick-ass start to materializing my EXCITING WEEKENDS!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Quite-a-long POST =D

Sorry for the sudden lash of vulgarity in the previous post.

It was necessary.

I finally GRADUATED... at long last!!!!!!!!!

DO i hear a round of cheers or what??!?! Excuse me, after going through 6 semesters of globally-acclaimed education i think i deserve a hearty congratulation. hahaha. FIrst thing that struck me: NO MORE F-EXAMS!!!!!

*Another round of cheeers please....*

And NO MORE CLIMBING THE DAMNING STEPS IN ARTS!!!!!!

But on a more serious note:

Some precious stuff that i took away with me (besides my mAtric card, certificate, transcript, gown and motar board) was the friendships and experience some may never have the chance to secure.

I've slogged hard and long for this and even though when it finally came to an end, despite lashing out at the various inadequacies of NUS, i feel sad that it's really over. I could still remember the silent desperate prayer i made while filling out the application form for the varsities. "If i could just get into either i will make sure i do not waste any part of it." but hell, semester after semester this evil monster named 'complacency' has to leech onto me like the way doug Ho leeched on his Uncle - SHole. Besides the academic part of life in NUS, the rest was pretty fun, when i really do try. haha. This journey of ups and downs really made an impression on the closure of my education life.

It's sad cus i could've made it better, not just be content with being part of it. And the valedictorian speech given by our CNM honours student almost made me tear (though i didn't say) cus i cannot imagine myself really accomplishing something i didn't even dare to dream about in sec school. But ONE THING i have learnt that proved to be forever true - NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.

To my fellow graduate friends: Even though we can't wait to leave the school in pursuit of a different phase in life, let's leave a little room of sentiments for this school we often complain about because if not for it, we could've been worse, or never have met. :)

To FEFE (mastermind) and Jiayi +Wenora (the accomplices): Despite you all coming 2hrs late for my commencement, i'm still gonna thankful for the flowers and gifts. =))))))

Anyways, i'm gonna update you on my NEW uneventful life as of 8th July 2009.

*flashes megawatt Smile*

As you already might have known, i'm currently working at OCC (orchid country club) doing PR. It's not a perm job cus (it's a long story if you know me you would've already know why). That's just about all i've gotta say about my job =) Short and sweet. But i do wana boast about getting home in 15mins from where i work. The world is just so wonderful with a driver's license, a car and a workplace 15mins from home. HAHAHAHAHHAAA.

I'm quite in a pleasant mood today not just because i actually have things to do, but cus my manager just commented that my skirt is cute...which i totally agree!!! i didn't pay 75bucks for a pasar-malam looking Mango skirt okay. lol. but i'm flattered. love praises, hate to give them. HAHA.

On 20th July, my JM Don's birthday. Thanks to his sugar-sweet girlfriend who organised a surprise for him (the surprise was me and cher) where we turned up at this nice rooftop chill-out pub in Esplanade to "scare" him.

Some random pics with Laila out an Italian restaurant at Bukit Timah

And last but not least:

I NEED MORE LUCK IN MAHJONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
