Suayness

this is really suay.

here i am trying to have fun, suayness just has to get in my way.
i bloody injured myself while TRYING to play soccer on the beach. now my big toe is like bandaged up i can hardly wear a slipper.

The best part about this is i cannot walk properly, let alone fast. TMD to the core.

Oh, and did i mention how i was almost like a tortured P.O.W when the medic tried to pour alcohol into the opening wound? the pain was so unbearable i even scared myself when i let out a scream. OMFG. and i think i also scared the tears outta YY too. poor thing..... paiseh yy dear, it was really traumatising.

Now, with 10 days left, how am i to survive a week w/o being able to do my last minute shopping and go to classes as per normal?? beats me.

i hope i won't take a week to heal and please oh please...... let the pain be gone. i really feel miserable now.

Monday Blues in Seoul

Sorry friends, there're no photos uploaded for this post except for the one on top.

i think you can relate to why i'm not uploading my plenty of photos here. it is SUCH A CHORE to have to resize them and save them on a seperate folder just for blogging. i know i've been lazy LAH (wah i so love singlish), but please try to understand, especially when i'm trying so hard to have fun and enjoy myself here....there's just too little motivation to plant myself in front of my lappy for this.

But that doesn't mean you won't get to see them =D GOOD NEWS, i've uploaded them in my facebook! first time i'm praising facebook for it's effeciency and ease in photo uploads. the biggest perk is I DON'T BLOODY NEED TO RESIZE MY PHOTOS. so from now on i'll continue with that. hehe~ but at the same time i'll still continue blogging once in awhile..maybe talk abt the photos a lil bit...and update u guys.

Anyways, i've included captions for the photos so i guess if you really dread reading whatever i write that much, that would be the BEST alternative. =) Oh, btw, my facebook email: mlsy86@gmail.com (if you haven't add me)

SO....what's been happening to me the past week? well.... i've been rather hardworking. HAHAHA... it's not hard to believe okay.. at least to me i AM. hell, my parents paid so much for me to come here so the only logical way to reciprocate is to STUDY hard right? ummm, at least study harder than i did in NUS?? lol. whatever it is i just wana say that the course i'm taking: Strategic management is GREAT. for once i felt i've learnt something really insightful. and i've never been that vocal in class before, much less speak with sense. but now, i always speak up.

i ACTUALLY managed to make and argument in class today and got credited for it. might sound easy for you but being trained as an arts student who pretty much says stuff out of spontaneity, i am so proud of myself. if you know me, i hardly participate. so yeah... i think it's a great experience. it's better if you realise i have to speak in front of all the ABKs. lol.

As for my korean classes...there's nothing much to say lah. it's relatively easy for me. hehe. i hope i wont get less than an A.

Weekend activities-wise, we went to the Coffee Prince Shop (CP) on friday, after bidding farewell to some of our NTU friends who went to Jeju for the weekend. why didn't i go? cus i went before and i'd rather spend on shopping, PLUS i already didn't get enough rest on my Mt Sorak trip last weekend. Okay, back to CP.. the shooting venue was actually very near to my school (just one subway stop away) and there's straight bus. a few turns on foot and TA-DA!!! all the nostalgia... especially when we sat right in front of the infamous sunflower wall, sipping away at our coffee. absolutely wonderful......

everything pretty much remained as it is just that the waiters and waitresses weren't as hot as those on TV. haha. we took lotsa pics so u can find them on facebook. but the place was really nice and the atmosphere was great. there's actually another "pseudo-CP shop" somewhere but we didn't go. that's where they bought over the patent from MBC and operates the exact same way it did on tv. but....neh, not interested. i just wana step on where goong yu stepped. HAHAHAHAA~

after that was shopping around the area (Hongik). i cannot emphasize enough how shopping in Seoul is FUntastic (fcuking + fantastic). it's not just about the goods (which was already damn GOOD), it's about the entire experience because unlike puny lil s'pore, there is actually abundant space for street-side shop fronts. and the way they are decorated and furnished makes shopping so incredibly enjoyable. a true FEAST for the eyes, even if you don't wana spend. but the truth is, nobody won't wana spend.

and then in the evening we went to catch the B-Boys performance at the B-boy performance hall with our school. the play this time was called "the ballerina who loves B-boy". if the title don't sound alluring enough, then i don't have a better idea than for you to fly here and watch for yourself. hahaha. B- boys were so cool, charismatic and SO DAMN GOOD at what they do - dancing. and plus the storyline..... wah seh man.......... even for a not-really-into-dancing kinda person like me, i totally changed my mind after watching the show... except i still won't start dancing. hahahaa... and WOOHOO, we got to take pics with them!!! (please see my facebook). the hall was not those big kind but rather small with lower floor-step seats and balcony seats. but the entire venue was really upclose like you're just watching breakdancing practice. so u can imagine how our hearts raced when they jumped off the stage and danced in front of us... they were so close to the audience can.....

K moving on.... on saturday we went to the bathhouse - those saunas with different kinda heating "rooms" where you force out all your sweat and stuff... quite shiok lah except for the part where we had to bathe naked in public (all women of cus). DUH, we refused so we just roughly cleaned ourselves (with clothes on) and left. HAHAHAHA.... cus of this, we weren't really in the mood to shop in Myeongdong - THE LEGENDARY SHOPPING DISTRICT which we've already been to. plus it friggin POURED like MAD. needless to say lah, our moods were drenched like our hair... so, we left for dorm early.

And then on SUNDAY, yy, lye siang and I (the only survivors from the weekend outings) decided to head onto the haven of all things 5000 krw (which means S$6plus). it's at the express bus terminal subway stop. MAN, that's where i REALLY splurged. lol. but nomatter how i spend it's still cheap lor. and GOOD news for fefe. i bought A LOT of clothes for her... and gifts for friends and family.

btw, if i never get anything for some of you please understand okay. before friends there's always family....(mine's not exactly small so...) and then cus i love my sister so much and i still owe her bdae presents, i have to buy A LOT for her. plus after family will be my closer friends whom i promised but even so they're not exactly getting a shopping bag full either. hahahahaa....

the BOTTOM LINE here is this : LIM JIAYI I BOUGHT YOU A POUCH.

......pardon me, she likes to hear stuff like that.

so that's all for my very long-winded update. photos you can help yourself in facebook. if you miss me you can find me on msn. lol.

OH one more thing!!! if you GIRLS want anything from FACESHOP or SKINFOOD. do drop me a line on the tagboard. they are cheaper here. but this service is exclusive for MY friends... and i need you to transfer the money to me cus i'm running short of cash too. =)

with love, kisses & misses...

HHEYYY~ sorry for being incredibly late. haha... i know i promised some of you to post pics of me in Korea to keep you guys updated. a bit late lah, but nevermind right... took some time to get used to the environment here y'know...though i'm a self-proclaimed Korea-fanatic, but turns out there's ALOT to adjust to here. after all i'm not in some 7-days, 6 nights tour, so it's a bit hard.
